Flowerin' Riri

Be it yellow diamonds in the sky,
Or glimmering ones in the city so fly,
You will fall in love in a hopeless place like her  lullaby,

Then, in Bajan Creole, Pon de Replay is the only reply.

She does not need to stand under an umbrella to levitate,

Shining bright like a diamond is her fate,
Her majestic stature in Guo Pei’s yellow is not up for debate,

It has given me enough inspiration to create,
A piece which I am confident will end up in an influential estate,

Robyn, the intention is for you to acquire it before it’s too late.

The choice of the flower is Daffodil,
A symbol of hope for all people affected by cancer, that does kill,
Ironically, she was being painted at the time thy mama had to swallow that pill,

Of potentially being diagnosed for the second time until,

We saw the actual dress at the Toronto Shangri-la and the seamstress’ skill,

Thanks heavens, the matriarch was not ill,
The experience ended up making me smokeless and tranquil.

To relive her red-carpet moment,

I took a trip in July,

To the Empire City with unlimited apple supply,
Only then was the inspiration aligned, I tell no  lie,

Russki Canadians took pictures of my best Riri impression at the steps of that Museum like it was Versailles.

The mask is a butterfly,
You may see her gaze, the sap hazel will give you a high,

Only if you look closer, will you discover the third eye.

Now that you are in tune,

Let’s talk about the city of dreams,

over which all of us swoon,
That art deco skyscraper,

every time makes my heart balloon,
She will be unveiled to to the world,

at pier 36 under a full moon.
