Mardi Gras Sax Fantasy

Mid evening textured indigo nights,
Below is that famous street full of lights,

Perceive the balcony with umbrellas tied tight.

Seems like our main act is about to take flight,
But the crowd is where veiled revelations require most sight,

If you don’t pay attention, may just end up with a Dracula bite.

The mood captures festivities with deep rooted seeds,
Where the currency is in rainbow shiny beads,
There is temptation, but pay no head,
Just watch the feathered fedoras take the lead.

With Sax on your mind,
Stay focused to find M who is kind,
That gold sparkle may make you blind,
Thank the lord, the contrasting black makes it all fine.

The first time was for Olson and we ran with the bulls,
Second, to seal the fate of aspiring actuaries, most of whom didn’t pull,

Third, to photograph for this piece until the camera was full,
Fourth, to release it to the world and feel grateful.
